Step into a rewarding role supporting student communication and language development at two vibrant middle schools near Minneapolis. This contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist, overseeing both evaluation and service provision. With your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) already secured, you’ll ensure high-quality programming by also supervising an experienced SLPA who delivers most direct student services.
What You’ll Contribute:
- Hold current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure required prior to start date
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred (middle school level a plus)
- Capacity to provide supervision to SLP Assistants in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational abilities
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing speech-language services across two middle schools for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Supervising and mentoring an SLPA, ensuring program fidelity and student success
- Conducting assessments, participating in the IEP process, and consulting with multidisciplinary teams
- Providing direct therapy for more unique or complex student needs
- Regularly reviewing student progress, updating goals, and communicating results with stakeholders
