Make an immediate impact supporting the communication needs of young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in the Minneapolis area. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week, following a full school-year schedule) primarily serves an elementary caseload. The assignment will begin by covering a maternity leave for a valued team member, with that transition anticipated to end by the Thanksgiving break. After that period, your expertise will be utilized flexibly: either covering speech-language leaves in various school buildings, or providing compensatory services for students who missed sessions this academic year due to staffing shortages.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Minnesota State SLP license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
  • Experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary students
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and caseloads
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to meet IEP goals for elementary-aged students
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
  • Engage with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students’ needs are met
  • Cover changing caseloads as needed, supporting various schools or providing compensatory sessions
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for special education services
