A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Mobile, AL, offering an exciting opportunity to work onsite with students ranging from PreK to 6th grade. This contract role starts immediately and continues through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a schedule of three days per week and the potential to transition to full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for students.
  • Deliver direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs, focusing on communication skills supporting academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records to comply with school and state regulations.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal development.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or in the Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY).
  • Experience working specifically in school settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders commonly impacting children in early education through elementary school.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, educators, and families.
  • Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama.
