Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Active SLP license in Alabama, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous SLP experience in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with a range of ages, from kindergarten through high school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for fostering inclusive and positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Conduct evaluations, track progress, and update required documentation
- Partner closely with teachers and parents to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Provide both direct therapy and consultative support in classrooms
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Adapt services to meet the diverse needs of students throughout K-12 grades
