School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Monterey, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-5 students’ communication skills this school year. In this full-time role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team and positively impact the lives of elementary-aged learners. The school day runs from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm, giving you afternoons free for a great work-life balance. You’ll serve a manageable caseload of around 35 students, fostering meaningful relationships with both students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active SLP state license or eligible for California licensure
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
• School-based SLP experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Comfort working with K-5 elementary students
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and collaborative mindset

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
• Support inclusive learning opportunities within the classroom setting
• Engage in ongoing professional learning to remain current in best practices
