Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current, active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in K-8 settings, including both elementary and middle school populations
- Demonstrated skill in assessment, intervention, and documentation for students with diverse communication needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to partner with staff and caregivers
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for students in elementary and middle school
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counselors, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
- Communicate progress and recommendations to families and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and student outcomes
- Adhere to all district and state compliance standards for documentation and service delivery
