The role is structured for on-site work only, offering a steady weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours each week. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current, active North Carolina SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in K-8 settings, including both elementary and middle school populations
  • Demonstrated skill in assessment, intervention, and documentation for students with diverse communication needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to partner with staff and caregivers

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for students in elementary and middle school
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counselors, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
  • Communicate progress and recommendations to families and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and student outcomes
  • Adhere to all district and state compliance standards for documentation and service delivery
