Our client seeks a dedicated professional to serve as a long-term substitute starting around October for approximately 10 weeks, followed by a consistent schedule of two days per week thereafter.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and SLP-CCC credential
- Previous experience in school-based SLP or pediatric SLP settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of the healthcare needs specific to speech-language services in schools
- Excellent interpersonal abilities for communicating with students, teachers, and families
- Effective report-writing, documentation, and progress monitoring skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop individualized plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports as required
- Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP processes, and staff development as necessary
- Offer guidance on communication strategies for teachers and parents
