Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school environment. This contract position offers an engaging chance to make a direct impact, working closely with young learners and supportive educational staff. Our client seeks a dedicated professional to serve as a long-term substitute starting around October for approximately 10 weeks, followed by a consistent schedule of two days per week thereafter.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license and SLP-CCC credential
  • Previous experience in school-based SLP or pediatric SLP settings strongly preferred
  • Understanding of the healthcare needs specific to speech-language services in schools
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities for communicating with students, teachers, and families
  • Effective report-writing, documentation, and progress monitoring skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop individualized plans
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports as required
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP processes, and staff development as necessary
  • Offer guidance on communication strategies for teachers and parents
