Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- North Carolina SLP license and ASHA CCCs or Clinical Fellowship Year eligibility
- Experience and comfort working in pediatric, educational, or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with school-based SLP duties, including assessments and service delivery
- Ability to provide both direct and consultative support to students
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with documentation, including ECATS & Medicaid processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students in elementary and preschool settings
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings as an integral team member
- Maintain timely, accurate records in ECATS and Medicaid billing documentation
- Work onsite and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and staff to optimize outcomes
