Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract role spans January 4th through May 24th and is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication and language development in school-aged children.
In this setting, you’ll have an average caseload of around 50 students, working collaboratively with educators and families. This assignment offers flexibility: full-time (35 hours per week) is available, but part-time schedules will also be considered. Those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply, and SLPA candidates are welcome, as support is provided for multiple levels of experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license, or eligibility for SLP or SLPA status
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLP applicants
- Experience working with school caseloads, managing diverse speech and language needs
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative mindset for partnering with school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and monitor client progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and caregivers to support student success
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school guidelines
- Offer guidance for classroom accommodations and communication strategies
