Embark on a fulfilling opportunity supporting K-8 students as a long-term speech-language pathologist substitute in the vibrant Northeast Philadelphia area. This contract position covers August through December, making a lasting impact during a pivotal part of the school year.

Work closely with an enthusiastic school team to manage a caseload of 40-50 students, assisting with communication development and transformative interventions. Reliable hours run Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 2:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy work-life balance during the school year. You’ll receive a comprehensive training period during your first week, ensuring you feel fully prepared before students begin on September 8th.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Experience delivering speech and language services with school-age children, especially K-8
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt strategies for a diverse student population and varying needs
  • Organizational skills for managing paperwork, progress notes, and caseload priorities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
  • Assess student needs and document progress toward communication goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive student support
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed
  • Maintain an encouraging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
