School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Mount Airy, Maryland

Step into a dynamic, contract-based opportunity making a difference with elementary students across multiple sites near Mount Airy, MD. This school-based speech-language pathology role runs from October 1 to June 4, offering full-time hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and the chance to work with a manageable caseload of 35-45 students. You’ll play an integral part in supporting communication and language-based learning in the educational environment.

This role is ideal for a collaborative and motivated SLP who enjoys contributing to student success and fostering positive classroom engagement across elementary grade levels.

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Maryland State SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Experience in school-based settings highly preferred
• Confidence working with elementary-aged children
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to work across multiple elementary sites
• Capable of managing a caseload of 35-45 students
• Ability to participate in virtual interviews

Role responsibilities include:

• Conducting speech-language assessments and evaluating students’ communication needs
• Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Delivering targeted therapy to students, both individually and in group settings
• Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student support
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to compliance standards
• Providing recommendations for classroom accommodations
• Participating actively in IEP meetings and team discussions
