Essential qualifications and experience:

• Current North Carolina SLP license (required)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
• Demonstrated success in a school-based SLP position
• Expertise working with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to the needs of individual students

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver speech and language therapy to meet established goals
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student success
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records per district and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and multi-disciplinary team activities
