Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity covering a maternity leave as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) supporting a group of enthusiastic 2nd and 3rd graders, all within the same welcoming school building. This full-time, contract position spans from August 12, 2026, to November 6, 2026—perfect for professionals seeking a rewarding assignment with a clear timeframe.

You’ll play a crucial role in helping young students enhance their communication skills. Your caseload will focus on approximately 40 students, some of whom utilize AAC devices, allowing you to make a direct impact through a variety of tailored interventions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid IL SLP-CCC license
  • Active PEL certification
  • Previous experience with AAC devices highly valued
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to 2nd and 3rd grade students
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to optimize student progress
  • Track and document student outcomes and communicate results effectively
  • Implement and support use of AAC devices for students as needed
