Apply NowEmbark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Mount Morris, IL. This spring semester position offers your choice between two engaging caseloads, tailored to your interests and expertise. The assignment runs from February 1, 2027, through June 11, 2027, providing a valuable chance to make a lasting impact on students’ lives.
Choose your preferred caseload:
- Work with approximately 50 students in grades 4-8 (housed in one building) with 5 reevaluations planned.
- Or, support a preschool and transition-age group of about 40 students, with just 1 reevaluation planned.
You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and have the opportunity to use a variety of AAC devices, including Eyegaze technology, to best assist students’ individual needs. Your efforts will be instrumental in promoting student achievement and communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois State License in Speech Language Pathology required (or eligible).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
- School-based SLP experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with AAC technology, including Eyegaze, is advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and reevaluations as scheduled.
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to assigned caseload.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families.
- Maintain organized, timely, and compliant documentation.
- Utilize a range of AAC tools to support student learning and communication.
