Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs within an elementary setting, beginning August 10, 2026, and spanning through December 2026, with the potential for school year extension. This position will be covering a maternity leave and centers on providing speech-language services across three medically fragile classrooms. You’ll have the advantage of collaborating closely with another Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who are also assigned to these classrooms.

Ideal candidates are passionate about serving specialized student populations and have firsthand experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Both SLPs (with CCC) and SLPAs are encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP-CCC or SLPA credential
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Skilled in supporting AAC devices and medically fragile students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Adaptable to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students in medically fragile classrooms
  • Implement and support AAC device use for eligible students
  • Collaborate with classroom staff, SLP, and SLPA partners to develop and carry out individualized plans
  • Monitor progress and maintain clear, timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
  • Attend relevant meetings and contribute to IEP planning
