Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP, CCC-SLP) for California
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Hands-on proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices required
  • Comfortable and experienced working with medically fragile student populations
  • Detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a team-focused environment
  • Able to reliably commit to a 32.5-35 hour workweek

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy in accordance with IEP goals within the designated classrooms
  • Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and report on student progress
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, the on-site SLP, and SLPA for comprehensive student support
  • Integrate and support student use of AAC devices, ensuring accessibility and effective communication
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
