Step into a rewarding role supporting students and families as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This unique opportunity encompasses two vital assignments, offering diverse experiences and the chance to make a significant impact in early intervention and early childhood special education.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience with school-based services, particularly with young children
  • Ability to collaborate with other SLPs and multidisciplinary team members
  • Strong communication skills with families, caregivers, and educational staff
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the local area as needed for home visits and center-based settings

Responsibilities:

  • July through October: Deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers in a primarily home-based model, working alongside another skilled therapist
  • November through January: Provide speech and language support at learning centers, focusing on preschool-aged children within ECSE programs across the area
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Engage and coach families, ensuring collaboration in the therapeutic process
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with school and state requirements
  • Attend team meetings, transition planning, and support child progress reviews
