Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity making a difference in young lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting educational settings near Myrtle Creek, OR. This role covers two consecutive FMLA assignments, offering you the chance to deliver specialized early intervention and ECSE services over a six-month period. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively, utilizing your therapy skills to support children and families across diverse settings.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school-based or early childhood settings
- Familiarity with early intervention and/or ECSE programming preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as paired with another therapist
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct SLP services to students in accordance with IEPs and program guidelines
- Assignment 1 (July-October): Provide early intervention services in a primarily home-based model, working jointly with another therapist
- Assignment 2 (November-January): Offer ECSE services at learning centers, primarily in Roseburg and occasionally throughout Douglas County
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, monitor progress, and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate with families, educational teams, and community partners to promote student success
- Support transition and carryover of skills across different settings
