A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting focused on self-contained autism classrooms serving students from early childhood through grade 5. This contract opportunity requires a commitment of 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, including those in self-contained autism classrooms.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct evaluations, progress monitoring, and maintain documentation in compliance with state and school guidelines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to promoting student communication success.

Qualifications:

  • State of Illinois licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Conditional Faculty Year (CFY) candidates considered.
  • Experience in pediatric and school-based SLP services strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices for autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Competitive rates: SLP-CCC $55-$60 per hour; SLP-CFY $38-$40 per hour.
