Desired Qualifications:

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • State licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois (or eligibility for licensure)
  • School-based experience or strong interest in working with K-8th grade students
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and implement effective treatment plans tailored to students’ needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement effective IEPs and treatment strategies
  • Collaborate with other professionals and participate in student support teams
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with families and school staff
  • Maintain documentation according to state, district, and professional standards
