You will collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver individualized therapy and help students build communication skills that last a lifetime. With a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, your expertise and attention can truly make a difference.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with adolescents or middle school students
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- A flexible, compassionate approach to meeting students’ unique needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades 6-8, in both group and individual settings
- Evaluate students, participate in eligibility staffing, and contribute to the creation and delivery of IEP goals
- Document student progress and report clearly to faculty and families
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other service providers
- Support generalization of skills into classroom environments
