Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for an exciting contract opportunity supporting students ages kindergarten through 22 at a private therapeutic day school in the Elgin, IL area. This part-time role offers a flexible, engaging schedule: work 21 hours per week across three days (typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), with potential for additional hours. Hours fall between 8am and 3pm to provide a healthy work-life balance.

Ideal candidates hold current ASHA certification (CCC), have experience working in school settings, and demonstrate comfort managing a range of student abilities and ages. This site requires an SLP with full credentials to perform evaluations and supervise students—SLPA credentials are not accepted for this assignment.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Issued and active state SLP license
  • Previous experience in K-12 or transition-age therapeutic/educational environments
  • Strong evaluation, diagnosis, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and deliver direct therapy
  • Serve as a key contributor at multidisciplinary meetings
  • Provide expert oversight for students requiring more complex interventions
  • Maintain thorough records and timely progress reporting in compliance with school and state standards
  • Communicate with families and support staff to advance student outcomes
