School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Naperville, Illinois

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFs considered
• Experience in school settings or working with children/adolescents is a plus
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for varied learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with educators, families, and other specialists
• Provide both direct and consultative therapy services across a range of grade levels
• Document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development opportunities
• Foster an inclusive learning atmosphere, advocating for students’ communication needs
