Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ speech, language, and communication goals in a vibrant educational environment near Nevada City, CA. This full-time assignment seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to begin August 17, 2026, and continue through June 4, 2027. You’ll serve a caseload of 55 students each week, working 35 hours Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch).

You will have the opportunity to provide services at one or more sites: Scotten Elementary, Bell Hill Academy (Elementary K-4), Lyman Gilmore Middle School (Grades 5-8), as well as students who are homeschooled or enrolled in private programs. This role is designed for someone who thrives on variety and is passionate about supporting diverse learning communities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC certification required
  • State licensure appropriate for school-based services in California (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience with school-aged children, managing similar caseloads
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and update goals in compliance with legal and educational standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs
  • Travel between assigned sites as needed within the workday
  • Maintain timely and accurate records
