Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active ASHA certification as an SLP (CCC required; CFY candidates considered with relevant school experience)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience following ASHA certification
  • Background in school settings with a variety of communication disorders and needs
  • Skilled in designing targeted therapy, evaluating progress, and adapting support as required
  • Able and willing to supervise SLP assistants (SLPAs), providing guidance for treatment, data collection, and reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students as part of their educational team
  • Supervise and mentor SLPAs, ensuring high-quality intervention, accurate documentation, and adherence to best practice
  • Complete thorough Special Education Eligibility Evaluations (initial and reevaluations)
  • Participate in IEP meetings—presenting assessment data, updating plans, and offering recommendations
  • Write and maintain individualized education plans, keeping documentation current as student caseloads evolve
  • Adapt approaches and manage a dynamic caseload based on changing student needs or enrollment
