School Speech Language Pathologist - New Bedford, Massachusetts

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement evidence-based practices

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students (K-5)
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
• Develop and track progress on IEP goals tailored to each student's unique abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student success
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, sessions, and student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team discussions
