Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist this academic year. Two contract opportunities are available for talented professionals seeking full-time positions supporting students in dynamic educational environments. Both roles are tied to maternity leaves—one begins at the end of September through mid-December; the other starts mid-November and runs until early January.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload, ensuring interventions support educational goals
  • Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to facilitate student communication and success
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress in accordance with school and district standards
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal documentation requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Active Connecticut SLP license (upfront licenses are a plus)
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is essential
  • Comfortable working on-site, 35 hours per week
  • Must be open to serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • District fingerprinting and background check required
  • SLPAs not accepted for these roles
  • Availability for a Zoom interview
