Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist this academic year. Two contract opportunities are available for talented professionals seeking full-time positions supporting students in dynamic educational environments. Both roles are tied to maternity leaves—one begins at the end of September through mid-December; the other starts mid-November and runs until early January.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload, ensuring interventions support educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to facilitate student communication and success
- Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress in accordance with school and district standards
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Active Connecticut SLP license (upfront licenses are a plus)
- Previous school-based SLP experience is essential
- Comfortable working on-site, 35 hours per week
- Must be open to serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- District fingerprinting and background check required
- SLPAs not accepted for these roles
