This full-time, contract role spans 35 weekly hours, with two openings available to join a collaborative school team dedicated to fostering communication skills and student achievement. Your efforts may be split between two school sites, offering a dynamic experience serving diverse young learners.
Desired Background & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid and active SLP license in Connecticut
- School-based SLP experience is a must
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred; strong CFs considered with provided supervision
- Familiarity with elementary caseloads
- Willing and able to commute onsite to New Britain area schools and work with guidance from district leadership
- Completion of district-required fingerprints and background check prior to start
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary-age students, supporting IEP goals and communication growth
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families to maximize positive outcomes
- Adapt quickly to servicing students at two school locations as assigned
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations
Additional Details:
- Two full-time roles, Monday through Friday, 35 hours a week
- Onsite service required; remote work is not available
- CFs are considered—district will provide supervision as bandwidth allows
- The employer does not support SLPAs in this position
