Step into a rewarding opportunity making a real difference for children in Delaware as a contract Speech Language Pathologist. This position involves collaborating with educational teams both in school buildings and by providing specialized support for medically homebound students. The schedule offers flexibility, available as either full-time or part-time (up to 37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday. The assignment runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with the primary location based near Wilmington. When not traveling to visit homebound students, you’ll be working at a school site in the area, which will be confirmed prior to your start.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Valid Delaware SLP license (required for consideration)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working with school-aged students, including those with diverse needs
  • Willingness to travel locally to serve homebound students as well as on-campus learners
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative educational team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to K-12 students in school and home settings
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Complete assessments, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Coordinate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student growth
  • Provide consultative services for medically homebound students as needed
