School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Castle, Delaware

Take the next step in your career supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity involves working with preschool and Kindergarten students within an Autism program as well as an inclusion population. Cover a maternity leave period from mid-November to early March, with a well-deserved break the week of Thanksgiving (no students in session). This is an on-site role for candidates able to work in-person near New Castle, DE.

Preferred candidates will bring passion and expertise in speech therapy to a supportive school environment, helping children achieve critical communication milestones.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Valid state SLP licensure or the ability to obtain before the start date
• CCC-SLP or actively pursuing Clinical Fellowship (CFY) status
• Recent experience providing speech therapy services to preschool and Kindergarten populations
• Experience working with children in Autism programs and diverse inclusion settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to commit to a full-time, on-site schedule for the contract period

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to assigned caseload
• Collaborate with special education and general education staff within the Autism and inclusion programs
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct assessments and maintain timely, detailed documentation
• Communicate progress to families and school teams, providing strategies for classroom carryover
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students
