Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLP license (Speech-Language Pathology) for Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in K-5/elementary settings is highly valued
- Exceptional organizational, collaboration, and communication abilities
- Skilled in implementing a variety of assessment tools and therapy approaches
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting assessments and re-evaluations for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with the special education team
- Providing direct and consultative speech and language therapy across two elementary campuses
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports for each student served
- Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Assisting in professional development and sharing best practices with school staff
