As a full-time school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team, providing direct and consultative services to students across a diverse caseload. This contract position begins in February and continues through the end of the school year, offering the chance to make a substantial impact during a critical phase of student development.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current or pending Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates, and those with school-based SLP expertise encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in elementary or K-12 settings a plus
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices, though in-person service is primary
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide direct therapy for elementary-aged students with diverse communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Track progress, document services, and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to support student success and generalization of skills
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
