Grades K - 5 Grades 6 - 8 Speech Language Pathologist in New Haven, CT

A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, working part-time in a New Haven, CT school setting. This contract position involves approximately 8 hours per week, primarily supporting a high school caseload serving grades 9-12, with potential involvement across grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for students in grades 6 through 12
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies

Qualifications:

• Valid and current SLP certification appropriate for school settings
• Experience working with students across elementary and secondary grade levels (K-12)
• Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently, organizing time and documentation effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff
