Step into a fulfilling school-based contract opportunity supporting students during the 2026-2027 academic year. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll make a meaningful impact by providing essential services across mixed K-12 caseloads. This position is located near New Kent, VA and offers a steady, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain before assignment start)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Recent experience with school-aged populations, especially K-12
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans reflecting diverse student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Document student progress and meet compliance requirements with accuracy and timeliness
- Provide both direct and consultative speech therapy across varied caseloads
- Serve as a resource and advocate for communication needs within the school environment
