School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | New Kent, Virginia

This contract opportunity allows you to work with diverse K-12 students, providing essential speech and language services that promote effective communication and academic success.

Your expertise will make a difference across a mixed caseload, collaborating with educators and families while delivering engaging therapy and supporting Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. With a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll enjoy both stability and variety as you develop meaningful connections within your assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Current or pending state licensure/certification as an SLP
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility preferred
• Previous experience in a school setting with K-12 students is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to support diverse learners and adapt therapy plans as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for students with communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized and group therapy sessions
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support teachers, parents, and staff through open communication and resources
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate
