Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist working with a diverse elementary population from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Serving a caseload of approximately 40 to 50 students, you’ll help develop critical communication skills and collaborate with educators in a supportive school environment located near New London, CT.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but SLPs completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will also be considered
- Experience working in school-based settings is strongly valued
- Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services to students from PreK through 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with teachers and support staff
- Maintain detailed records on student progress and ongoing needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team consultations, and parent conferences
- Support students in both individual and small group settings
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and school-based therapy
