This opportunity places you at the heart of student success, directly impacting their communication abilities and educational journeys. You’ll work full-time with a manageable caseload, collaborating closely with educators and families to deliver comprehensive speech therapy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current, active NCDPI Speech-Language Pathologist license (must provide with application)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience with school-based speech-language pathology, including developing and implementing IEP goals
  • Familiarity using ECATS for documentation and compliance
  • Previous experience presenting at IEP meetings, conducting evaluations, and writing reports
  • Ability to provide engaging, effective speech services to middle-school-aged students
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver in-person speech/language therapy to students, as outlined in their IEPs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to collaborative goal setting and planning
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and regular screenings as needed
  • Write detailed Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance statements and annual goals
  • Manage a caseload not exceeding 50 students (current average is 39, with a mix of “Speech Only” and “Speech as Related Service”)
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within ECATS and ensure compliance with school and state requirements
  • Work in partnership with educators, families, and staff to support student progress
