This full-time assignment offers the chance to deliver high-impact speech and language services to a dedicated caseload of 50-60 students at Schaumberg Elementary. In this onsite-only role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to foster communication skills and maximize student success during a key maternity leave coverage from mid-September through November 30th.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active LA Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider Clinical Fellows (CFs).
- Familiarity with school-based caseloads and IEP protocols.
- Skill in individualized and group therapy for K-5 students.
- Strong communication and case management abilities.
Key Duties:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech/language, voice, and communication disorders.
- Work closely with school teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
- Maintain thorough and timely records of therapy, progress, and required reports.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse student population.
- Collaborate with families to support generalization of skills at home.
