This role focuses on delivering services exclusively onsite for a diverse caseload at Schaumberg Elementary, serving approximately 50-60 students. Full-time hours ensure you have meaningful interaction and impact, supported by an engaged school community.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active or pending Louisiana SLP licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status welcome
  • Previous school-based experience is valued, though open to motivated new graduates
  • Expertise in conducting assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining compliance with IEP documentation
  • Skillful communication and collaborative approach with teachers, staff, families, and students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to the development of IEP goals
  • Document therapy sessions and student progress accurately and punctually
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize student success
  • Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and state guidelines
