Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an engaging elementary setting near New Orleans this fall. This full-time assignment offers the chance to deliver high-impact speech and language services to a dedicated caseload of 50-60 students at Schaumberg Elementary. In this onsite-only role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to foster communication skills and maximize student success during a key maternity leave coverage from mid-September through November 30th.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active LA Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider Clinical Fellows (CFs).
  • Familiarity with school-based caseloads and IEP protocols.
  • Skill in individualized and group therapy for K-5 students.
  • Strong communication and case management abilities.

Key Duties:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech/language, voice, and communication disorders.
  • Work closely with school teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
  • Maintain thorough and timely records of therapy, progress, and required reports.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse student population.
  • Collaborate with families to support generalization of skills at home.
