Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active or pending Louisiana SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status welcome
- Previous school-based experience is valued, though open to motivated new graduates
- Expertise in conducting assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining compliance with IEP documentation
- Skillful communication and collaborative approach with teachers, staff, families, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to the development of IEP goals
- Document therapy sessions and student progress accurately and punctually
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
- Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize student success
- Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and state guidelines
