Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a PreK school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 to May 2027, working with children ages 3-5 across multiple sites in the vibrant New Orleans area. As an onsite-only provider, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, delivering essential speech and language services that foster lifelong communication skills.

Key qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing therapy for children ages 3-5
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseloads efficiently and flexibly
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to delivering services onsite

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy services to PreK students with diverse speech and language needs
  • Develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize each child’s communication development
  • Travel between assigned school sites as needed (itinerant position)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
