Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New Paltz, NY

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near New Paltz, NY. This assignment is scheduled from ASAP through January 2027, with strong potential for extension. The selected candidate will work full-time, actively engaged within an elementary school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current NYS Teaching certification required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric SLP preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work onsite five days per week (not open to part-time)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Maintain timely and accurate records of therapy sessions and student performance
• Communicate effectively with caregivers and participate in IEP meetings
• Implement interventions tailored to students’ needs in receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language skills
