Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse communication needs as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting learners from kindergarten through high school. Three rewarding contract opportunities are currently available near New York, NY: one full-time, one flexible part-time, and one for maternity leave coverage (July-October). Enjoy a dynamic school environment serving students ages 5–21, including those on the autism spectrum, with the chance to hone your expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.

What You’ll Need:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology certification (SLP)
  • Experience supporting children and adolescents in grades K–12
  • Comfort working with students with autism and a wide range of abilities
  • Familiarity using AAC devices such as TouchChat, LAMP, and Proloquo strongly preferred
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group speech-language treatment sessions to a caseload of approximately 50 students, up to 10 sessions daily
  • Maintain comprehensive daily treatment notes and complete monthly self-audits of notes and attendance records (CM2)
  • Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports as well as draft IEPs in collaboration with team members and families
  • Provide services within contracted hours: typically 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling 25-30 hours per week depending on the position
  • Adapt to diverse student needs, supporting communication growth and participation across grade levels and learning environments
