Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current SLP certification and state licensure
- Direct experience working with students in Grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12
- Background providing services for school-aged youth and young adults (ages 12–21)
- Demonstrated history supporting resistant or hard-to-reach youth
- Familiarity with delivering and documenting IEP-mandated services
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills, especially with diverse student populations
- Comfort working independently and as part of an educational team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language interventions as mandated in each student’s IEP
- Adapt strategies to engage youth who may be struggling or resistant
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust approaches as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support holistic student growth
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and compliance with relevant regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions when needed
