School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, MD

Take the next step in your speech-language pathology career by providing crucial services to young learners. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated and collaborative SLP-CCC to support students across PreK3 to 3rd grade, working alongside another experienced SLP. This role focuses on delivering speech-language services to students with mild to moderate disabilities in both small group and one-on-one settings.

Key Details:

• Contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 30, 2027
• Consistent weekly hours: 35
• Workday: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm
• Caseload: Approximately 40-50 students, with another SLP onsite

Qualifications:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Maryland Department of Health Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Experience serving students with speech and language support needs in schools
• Comfort working with children from PreK3 to 3rd grade
• Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, develop goals, and implement therapy sessions for a diverse student caseload
• Deliver direct speech-language services to identified students both individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success across learning environments
• Maintain accurate and timely records, documentation, and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and ongoing professional development
