Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time | Newark, MD | 2026-2027 

Looking for a rewarding school-based opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year? Join Worcester County Public Schools as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist serving young learners in a collaborative and supportive environment. You'll work alongside another SLP to provide services that help students develop the communication skills they need to thrive.

Position Overview

  • Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Location: Newark, MD
  • School District: Worcester County Public Schools
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • School Year: August 24, 2026 – June 30, 2027

Caseload

  • Approximately 40-50 students
  • Shared caseload with another supporting SLP
  • Grade Levels: Pre-K 3 through 3rd Grade
  • Students with mild to moderate disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students receiving speech services
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support students in achieving their communication goals

Qualifications

  • Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Maryland Department of Health Certification required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience is preferred but not required

Compensation

  • $50-$60 per hour, based on experience
