A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting located in Newark, NJ. This role offers an opportunity to work with a preschool caseload and contribute to the communication development of young learners. The position is scheduled for two days a week, with flexible days to accommodate your availability, and will continue from now through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services focused on early childhood communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Utilize teletherapy methods if required to support students remotely.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with healthcare and pediatric speech therapy protocols.
- Comfort and proficiency with teletherapy platforms.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
