A contract opportunity is available for three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve in schools located in the Newark, NJ area starting Fall 2026. These positions begin in September and extend for approximately 12 weeks, with a workload of 35+ hours per week.
This role requires working onsite within elementary school settings that have a high population of students with Autism as well as preschool-aged children, typically ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Specific school assignments include two elementary positions focused on these populations, while one additional school assignment will be determined.
Qualifications and experience needed:
- Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist License and NJ SLS Certification
- CCC licensed SLPs are preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) with outside supervision are accepted (please note that district supervision is not available)
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered for these roles
- Experience working with autism and early childhood/preschool populations is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized SLP services to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student development
- Maintain appropriate documentation and progress reporting as required by the district
Location: Positions are onsite in Newark-area elementary schools with high-needs student populations.
