Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students in a thriving educational environment for the Fall 2026 semester! Three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to provide essential services during a 12-week maternity leave coverage beginning in September. With positions based at elementary schools, you’ll work closely with students, including those with high Autism and preschool populations, in K-5th grades. This is an onsite-only position in the Newark, NJ area, offering a dynamic workplace dedicated to student communication growth and development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist License and NJ SLS Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CF) welcome with external supervision
- Direct experience or strong interest in serving elementary and preschool-aged children, particularly those with Autism
- Adept at collaborating with educational teams and families to implement and document evidence-based interventions
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work exclusively onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-5 students
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop, update, and carry out individualized education plans
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and communicate effectively with staff and families
- Support inclusive learning environments and provide consultative services as needed
- Conduct therapy sessions, screenings, and in-service training as part of a multidisciplinary approach
