An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to cover a maternity leave in a vibrant elementary school setting near Newark, NJ. This full-time position runs from September 22, 2026, through January 27, 2027. You’ll work Monday through Friday, 8:40 am to 3:40 pm, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 30 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Leverage your expertise in both in-person and teletherapy settings, making a real difference for young learners during a crucial stage of development. Collaboration with dedicated educators and families ensures a supportive and enriching environment, ideal for seasoned SLPs or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active CCC-SLP or CFY status
  • State licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings
  • Strong skills in teletherapy platforms and techniques
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs
  • Effective communication and time-management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in K–5 students
  • Develop individualized therapy plans, set measurable goals, and track progress
  • Maintain compliant and up-to-date documentation
  • Consult regularly with teachers, school staff, and families
  • Provide teletherapy services as needed, adapting interventions for virtual delivery
  • Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
