Step into a dynamic, supportive educational environment as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist this school year. If you have your CCCs and a solid foundation in school-based SLP practice, this full-time position provides the opportunity to work closely with elementary students, supporting their communication development in a vibrant setting just outside Newark, NJ.
This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 35 hours each week, beginning September 4th and extending through June 25th. You’ll contribute directly to student success by managing an elementary caseload, delivering therapy, conducting assessments, and collaborating with a dedicated team.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid New Jersey SLP license (CCC required).
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP.
- Confidence in independently servicing a school caseload and adapting to district needs.
- Ability to efficiently perform testing, evaluations, and progress assessments.
- Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CF) or SLPA candidates due to supervision limits.
- Reliable transportation and suitability for a manageable commute.
- Commitment to completing all onboarding requirements, including TB test, physical, and fingerprinting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, tailored to individual education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct timely and accurate evaluations, assessments, and progress documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain compliance with all state and district guidelines.
