Step into a key role supporting students’ communication needs as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming fall and winter months. You’ll work on a contract basis, collaborating closely with educational teams to help students near Newark, NJ reach their full academic and social potential. This opportunity runs from September through February.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), OR Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but open to new graduates completing their CFY
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on assessment outcomes
  • Plan and deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
  • Collect and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Work with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students’ goals are met
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences as necessary
