Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a leave coverage position spanning September through October. In this full-time role, you'll engage with a diverse caseload primarily consisting of middle school students, as well as elementary and high schoolers, all within a dynamic educational setting near Newark, NJ.

Bring your expertise to a school community where you'll make a meaningful impact by helping students with a range of speech and language needs—spanning from speech-only cases to those eligible for special education services. Enjoy a structured schedule with hours aligned to each school level: elementary (8:45am-3pm), middle (8:30am-2:50pm), and high school (8:05am-3pm), Monday through Friday.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure as required for New Jersey schools
  • Experience in school settings, with a focus on pediatrics preferred
  • Comfort working across elementary, middle, and high school age groups
  • Background in supporting both speech-only and special education populations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy for diverse student populations
  • Assess, identify, and document speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Support students in self-contained LLD (language learning disabilities) and AU (autism) environments
