School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newark, New Jersey

Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to a dynamic school environment near Newark, NJ. This full-time contract position spans district-wide, engaging students from various backgrounds. Working 35 hours per week from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, you'll deliver essential speech-language services with the autonomy to manage your caseload and provide comprehensive support for each student in need. Start as soon as possible, with the opportunity to make a lasting impact through the end of June 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SLP licensure in NJ (CCC required)
• Prior experience in school-based SLP roles
• Capable of servicing a diverse district-wide caseload
• Ability to complete all necessary testing, evaluations, and assessments independently with your own materials
• Comfortable with district-wide assignments and flexible locations
• Willingness to undergo onboarding requirements (TB test, physical, fingerprints for agency and district)
• Reliable transportation and practical commute logistics
• CF and SLPA candidates will not be considered due to supervision limitations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with district goals
• Manage and address the speech and language needs of a varied student population
• Complete comprehensive evaluations, screenings, and re-assessments while maintaining appropriate documentation
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support communication goals
• Ensure all compliance and district requirements are consistently met
