Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Newburgh, NY

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025–2026 academic year in Newburgh, NY, serving K-12 students with a focus on elementary grades. This contract position will run from September 2025 through June 2026, offering a structured school schedule aligned with the academic calendar.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments.
• Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans.
• Providing direct therapy tailored to each student's needs.
• Collaborating with teachers and school staff to provide accommodations and modifications.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Participating actively in IEP meetings and contributing to goal-setting.
• Offering guidance and resources to parents and caregivers.

Qualifications for this role:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and educational law.
