A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025–2026 academic year in Newburgh, NY, serving K-12 students with a focus on elementary grades. This contract position will run from September 2025 through June 2026, offering a structured school schedule aligned with the academic calendar.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments.
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans.
- Providing direct therapy tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to provide accommodations and modifications.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participating actively in IEP meetings and contributing to goal-setting.
- Offering guidance and resources to parents and caregivers.
Qualifications for this role:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational law.
